Responsibilities for EMTExamine and evaluate patients to determine necessary careProvide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipmentDocument patient information, condition, and treatmentMaintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rightsTransport patients in accordance with outlined policies and proceduresMaintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patientsOperate and drive an ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and lawsProvide basic life support and gather patient dataQualifications for EMTA high school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredCurrent EMT certification/license in the state of practiceCurrent CPR certificationMust possess a valid driver's license in the state of practice1 year of experience in an emergency care setting preferredAbility to bend, pull, push, and lift up to 50 poundsAbility to follow oral and written instructionsDemonstrated ability to implement clinical care in accordance with outlined policies and proceduresAbility to exercise sound judgment while working in a stressful environment Recommended Skills Attention To Detail Basic Life Support Cpr Clinical Works Medical Records Patient Information Leaflet Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
